Trade Assistant - Workshop

• Location is Regency Park or Wingfield, SA
• Temp to Perm after 6 months
• Pay Rate: $37.00 - $40.00 per hour + super
• Overtime on offer

Our client is a leading engineering company, is looking for a Trade Assistant at their workshop in Regency Park and Wingfield, South Australia. • Immediate Start: Start your new role right away!
• Competitive Pay: Earn between $37.00 to $40.00+ per hour plus penalties, with higher rates available for Trade Qualified candidates.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30 am – 3:00 pm, with overtime and Saturday shifts available.

THE ROLE:
In this hands-on role, you will assist skilled tradespeople in manufacturing high-quality engineering structural elements. From preparation to assembly, your work will ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist tradespeople with fabrication or fitting, assembly, and installation tasks.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Organise and prepare materials for the manufacturing process.
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain quality control and adhere to safety standards.
• Keep the work space clean and organised.

Minimum requirements:

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or as a Trade Assistant (Fitter or Fabrication).
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
• Confidence in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and understand technical plans and drawings.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Physical fitness and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
